Equipement needed:

  1. An aroma sample: can be Le Nez du Café, ScentOne, Essential Oils, or fruits/vegetables/herbs. Ideally, these samples are prepared blind by covering any identifying information or using a blindfold during the exercise.

  2. Candies: Some that are familiar and some that are completely new. If possible, try to find candies that are outside of your culture, or flavors that you’re not super familiar with. The exercise calls for 3 of each but you may use as many (or as few!) as you like!

  3. “Wild” coffees: coffees with fun processing methods, different varieties, or origins that you haven’t had much experience with. The less familiar that flavor profile, the more effective the exercise will be! The exercise calls for 3 of each but you may use as many (or as few!) as you like!
